Hornets land Coby White, Mike Conley in multi-team trade

The Charlotte Hornets have completed a trade with the Chicago Bulls that brings Coby White and Mike Conley Jr. to Charlotte. In exchange, the Bulls receive Collin Sexton and three future second-round draft picks.

As part of the expanded deal, Ousmane Dieng moves from the Oklahoma City Thunder to Chicago, while Charlotte sends Mason Plumlee to Oklahoma City.

White is set to become a free agent this offseason and had been widely viewed as a likely trade piece ahead of the deadline. The guard is playing on an expiring contract worth $12.9 million.

This season with Chicago, White is averaging 18.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists across 29 games. He is represented by agents Ty Sullivan and Steven Heumann.

As part of the draft compensation, Chicago will receive the least favorable of the Hornets’ or Denver Nuggets’ 2029 second-round pick, along with second-round selections from the New York Knicks in 2031 and the Nuggets in 2031.
