Panathinaikos Athens bolstered its frontcourt with the signing of versatile forward Chris Singleton on Friday.

The contract is for one season with an option for the 2017-18 season. Singleton (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, where he averaged 8.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 31 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season.

He helped Lokomotiv reach its first-ever Final Four and played a big role on that, especially in do-or-die Game 5 of his team’s playoffs series against FC Barcelona Lassa. Singleton grabbed 12 rebounds in Game 5 and scored 11 of his 16 points in a 14-0 run that sent Lokomotiv to victory and sealed its place in Berlin.

He started his professional career with Washington of the NBA and also played for Jiangsu Nangang Dragons Nanjing of China and Oklahoma City of the D-League before joining Lokomotiv.
