Former NBA standout Lamar Odom was arrested early Saturday morning in Las Vegas, according to TMZ.

Authorities booked Odom on a charge of driving under the influence, and he was also cited for two separate traffic offenses: exceeding the speed limit by more than 41 miles per hour and failing to properly maintain his lane.

As of the time the report was published, the ex-Laker remained in custody. The incident adds another chapter to a long and well-documented history involving substance abuse.

Odom was previously arrested for DUI in 2013, and his struggles with drugs and alcohol have been public for more than a decade.

In 2015, former NBA champ nearly lost his life following a severe overdose, an episode that prompted his then-wife, Khloé Kardashian, to rush to his side and help care for him during his recovery.

Their marriage eventually ended after Odom relapsed again in 2016.

Despite those setbacks, Odom had publicly recommitted himself to sobriety in recent years.

He has spoken openly about recovery and has attempted to support others facing similar battles, including Bam Margera, through rehabilitation centers he owns.

Odom played for four teams during a 14-year NBA career, and his post-playing life has continued to unfold under public scrutiny.
