The injury challenges for Portland continue as Kris Murray has been ruled out indefinitely due to a lumbar strain.
The setback comes at an unfortunate time, as the third-year forward had recently stepped into a larger role within the rotation.
Murray had been starting in place of Jerami Grant, who is dealing with Achilles tendonitis.
In that stretch, Murray provided steady contributions rather than headline numbers, averaging just over six points per game while adding rebounds and defensive activity that helped stabilize the forward rotation.
His absence further complicates an already thin roster. Portland remains without Scoot Henderson, Matisse Thybulle, and Blake Wesley due to long-term injuries.
Franchise cornerstone Damian Lillard is also out for the season while rehabbing a torn Achilles tendon.
In the frontcourt, availability has been inconsistent for Robert Williams III as the team continues to manage his chronic knee issues.
