Kris Murray on Yang Hansen: “Some of the best footwork I’ve seen out of a big”

Portland Trail Blazers forward Kris Murray has been very impressed with rookie big man Yang Hansen.

“Great dude. Very funny. On the court offensively, he’s very talented. Some of the best footwork I’ve seen out of a big. His passing IQ is really good. You’ve seen it a lot in Summer League and what he can do in that aspect. I think he’s grown a lot since then. He’s done a really good job just processing everything, being able to learn.

“I always see him in the gym early. One of those guys who’s first one in, last one out. And I think that’s huge, especially as a rookie. Just kinda soak in everything you can, especially him just coming from overseas and having to learn English and then basketball — it’s a lot. I think he’s done a really good job so far.”
