Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul announced Sunday that French guard Nando De Colo has returned to the club, signing through the end of the 2025-26 season. De Colo previously played for Fenerbahce from 2019 to 2022, helping the team win the Turkish League in 2021-22 and the Turkish Cup in 2019-20.

The 38-year-old began his professional career with Cholet in France before being drafted 53rd overall by the San Antonio Spurs in 2009. He played for Valencia, winning the Eurocup in 2010, and spent stints in the NBA with the Spurs and Raptors from 2012 to 2014.

De Colo’s European career flourished at CSKA Moscow, where he won two EuroLeague titles (2016, 2019), five VTB League championships, and earned accolades including EuroLeague MVP (2015-16), Final Four MVP (2016), and Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Award (2015-16). He is ranked among the all-time EuroLeague leaders with 5,026 points, 5,704 efficiency points, and 1,265 assists.

At the national level, De Colo has represented France in multiple EuroBaskets and World Cups, winning gold in EuroBasket 2013 and silver medals at the 2021 and 2024 Olympics. His return to Istanbul strengthens Fenerbahce’s roster ahead of a crucial EuroLeague push, where the team sits third with a 12-6 record.

Fenerbahce currently relies on players such as Wade Baldwin IV (14.5 points per game) and Talen Horton-Tucker (14.1) for scoring and playmaking. De Colo’s veteran experience and leadership are expected to complement the squad’s young core and improve their consistency in high-pressure games.

The French guard’s signing comes ahead of Fenerbahce’s home matchup against Olympiacos Piraeus on Tuesday. The team aims to maintain its top-four position in EuroLeague standings and challenge Valencia and Hapoel Tel Aviv for the league’s best record.
