Toronto Raptors used a dominant fourth-quarter surge to defeat the Atlanta Hawks 134-117 on Saturday night at Scotiabank Arena. The victory pushed Toronto to 21-15 and marked its fifth straight win over Atlanta.
RJ Barrett and Brandon Ingram led the way with 29 points apiece. Barrett set a season high, while Ingram matched him with an efficient all-around performance.
Toronto entered the fourth quarter with a one-point edge and immediately seized control. The Raptors opened the final period on a 16-0 run, stretching the lead to 123-106 with 7:18 remaining.
Barrett scored eight points during that decisive stretch. Toronto improved to 17-1 this season when leading after three quarters, continuing a consistent trend of closing games.
Ingram finished 11-of-15 from the field and went a perfect 6-of-6 at the free-throw line. He added nine rebounds and provided steady scoring when Atlanta attempted to push back.
Scottie Barnes added 20 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Immanuel Quickley chipped in 15 points and seven assists, helping control the tempo throughout the second half.
Sandro Mamukelashvili delivered one of the most impactful performances off the bench. He recorded 13 points, 12 rebounds, and a career-high eight assists in 32 minutes.
Toronto shot 53 percent from the field and 92 percent from the foul line. The Raptors also outscored Atlanta by 18 points in the fourth quarter.
The Hawks received strong individual efforts but struggled to sustain momentum. Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 31 points, Jalen Johnson added 30, and Dyson Daniels finished with 20 points and 12 assists.
Atlanta missed six straight field-goal attempts to open the fourth quarter. That stretch allowed Toronto to turn a close game into a comfortable margin.
Vit Krejci scored 13 points and Keaton Wallace added 11 off the bench. Atlanta finished at 46 percent shooting but allowed 134 points, continuing a defensive trend.
The Hawks have now allowed at least 125 points in each of their past 10 losses. That followed a Friday win in New York in which Atlanta held the Knicks under 100 points.
Trae Young missed his fourth straight game due to a bruised right quadriceps. Toronto was also short-handed, as Jakob Poeltl sat out his sixth consecutive contest with a back injury.
The teams will meet again Monday night in Toronto to complete the back-to-back set.
