Before Friday’s game, head coach David Adelman was asked whether the Denver Nuggets were considering a short-term signing.
His response suggested caution more than urgency, indicating the organization is comfortable evaluating what it already has in place rather than rushing to make a move.
“Right now, we are who we are,” Adelman said, via Bennett Durando of The Denver Post.
Based on what Durando has heard, the Nuggets are not expected to pursue a 10-day addition, which aligns with their broader financial situation.
Denver is sitting roughly $400,000 above the luxury tax line, and the front office is widely expected to focus on getting below that mark before the trade deadline.
Doing so would help the team avoid repeater tax penalties, making restraint on minor roster moves the more practical approach for now.
