ImageUnicaja presented a five-year offer for Gran Canaria's center Joel Freeland. The club from the Canarias has ten days now to equalize Malaga's, extraordinary for European standards, offer.

The two clubs where unable to come to an agreement regarding a compensation for Gran Canaria not to use the "Derecho de Tanteo", and so Unicaja decided to play hard ball offering a contract that only a few clubs could match.

The decision was also based on the fact that Boniface N'dong left to go to Barcelona and that Freeland is only 23 years old and is projected to have a great future ahead of him.
