The San Antonio Spurs visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, December 25, with both teams entering the holiday matchup near the top of the Western Conference standings. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET at Paycom Center.
San Antonio arrives with a 22-7 record and a seven-game winning streak, including a decisive 130-110 win over Oklahoma City on December 23. The Spurs have also won 124-113 at Washington and have taken both previous meetings against the Thunder this season.
Oklahoma City stands at 26-4 despite dropping that most recent matchup in San Antonio. The Thunder had won 11 of their previous 12 games before the loss and remain one of the league’s most efficient two-way teams.
From an injury standpoint, San Antonio’s report is clean for its core rotation. Harrison Ingram, David Jones Garcia, and Stanley Umude are all listed as out due to G League two-way assignments, leaving the Spurs’ primary contributors fully available.
De’Aaron Fox has averaged 21.6 points and 6.2 assists, while Victor Wembanyama continues to anchor the interior with 23.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks per game.
Oklahoma City’s injury report is more significant. Ousmane Dieng is out with a right calf strain, while Ajay Mitchell remains sidelined in concussion protocol.
The Thunder are also without Jaylin Williams due to right heel bursitis, and both Nikola Topic and Thomas Sorber continue long-term surgical recoveries. Those absences limit Oklahoma City’s frontcourt depth and secondary ball-handling options.
Even so, the Thunder remain dangerous behind MVP-level production from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is averaging 32.5 points on 55.7% shooting. Chet Holmgren has added 18.2 points and 7.6 rebounds, giving Oklahoma City a reliable inside-out pairing.
The season series favors San Antonio, which has won 111-109 in Oklahoma City on December 13 and controlled the December 23 rematch at home.
Christmas Day sets the stage for a potential tone-setter in the West.
