The Philadelphia 76ers are adding former first-round pick MarJon Beauchamp on a two-way contract, according to Tony Jones of The Athletic, while waiving rookie guard Hunter Sallis to open a roster spot.
Beauchamp, 25, was selected 24th overall in the 2022 draft and has spent time with the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, and New York Knicks, appearing in 135 regular-season games over three seasons.
After brief preseason stints with Portland and Philadelphia, he joined the Delaware Blue Coats, where he has impressed with strong scoring and shooting efficiency during the G League Tip-Off Tournament and Winter Showcase.
He also recently made an impact internationally, representing Team USA in 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers and totaling 50 points across two games against Nicaragua.
His play earned public praise from Stephen Silas, who expressed confidence that Beauchamp would earn another NBA opportunity.
Philadelphia will use Beauchamp’s final season of two-way eligibility alongside Dominick Barlow and Jabari Walker.
With the Sixers already heavily relying on two-way players while carrying a 14-man standard roster, roster management will be something to watch as the season progresses.
