The Houston Rockets rallied in the final seconds to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 115-113 on Thursday night.

Rockets star Amen Thompson sank a three-point play with 17.2 seconds left in the fourth quarter. He tipped in Alepren Sengun’s miss to break a 110-110 tie, fouled by Kriss Dunn, and converted the bonus free throw.

Thompson made 8 of 12 from the field and finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, making his putback a third offensive rebound of the possession and 21st of the night.

Sengun also dropped a double-double with 22 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, and four steals, while Jabari Smith Jr. added 18. Kevin Durant had 16.

Houston outrebounded the Clippers 51-28, resulting in dominance down the paint and converting it into a win.

Meanwhile, the Clippers had two possessions with a chance to tie the game, but Kawhi Leonard called for an offensive foul, and Nicolas Batum had an unfortunate violation on an inbound pass.

Clippers big man Ivica Zubac matched a season-high with 33 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while shooting 13 of 14 from the field.

Leonard contributed 24 points in a season-high 41 minutes, while James Harden contributed 22.

They were in a real slump with a 6-19 win-loss record, third in a row, and eighth in nine games.

The Rockets will have an exciting show against Denver on Monday, while the Clippers aim to end their slump against Memphis.
