After dropping 10 of their last 12 games and getting four days to regroup before facing Boston on Thursday, the Bucks are trying to steady themselves without Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Speaking Tuesday, veteran center Myles Turner emphasized that Milwaukee’s season is far from slipping away.

“We are only five-and-a-half games away from the third seed, so I don’t think it’s time to panic personally; I think it’s time to be aware,” he said, distinguishing between urgency and panic.

“With the group we have right now, I think that we’re very capable of making an extra push. But we can talk about it all we want to; it’s a matter of going out there and getting it done.”

As Eric Nehm notes, getting more production from Turner – whose 12.6 points per game mark his lowest output in five seasons – will be essential while Antetokounmpo recovers from a calf strain.

Milwaukee will also need continued contributions from Kyle Kuzma and guards Kevin Porter Jr. and Ryan Rollins. Porter, in particular, has been on a scoring tear, averaging 27 points per game on highly efficient shooting over his last four outings.
