Myles Turner, who spent the early part of his career with the Indiana Pacers before joining the Milwaukee Bucks last offseason, recently shared his thoughts on how Ivica Zubac might fit into Indiana’s system, according to Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star.

Turner explained that it’s still too early to fully evaluate the situation since Zubac has only appeared in three games for the Pacers so far and the team has been dealing with several injuries.

“You’ve kind of yet to see it,” Turner said.

Turner also pointed out that the offensive dynamic could look different compared to how the team operated when he was there, especially alongside Tyrese Haliburton.

He noted that his ability to stretch the floor helped create space for the star guard, whereas Zubac brings a different style of play.

“With Tyrese (Haliburton), he needs space to operate and I was able to stretch the floor for him. It’s a little bit different with Zu because while he’s a good playmaker and passer, he’s more of a low-post kind of guy.”

Turner added that it remains unclear how that style will translate within head coach Rick Carlisle’s system, saying it’s something that will become clearer over time.

“I don’t know what that spacing looks like in (coach Rick Carlisle’s) system, but it’s kind of one of those things you wait to see.”

Zubac has played 10 seasons for the Clippers, Lakers and Pacers. He has averaged 10.5 points and 8.3 rebounds in 630 regular-season games.
