Greek powerhouse Olympiacos is reportedly finalizing a deal to acquire NBA guard Monte Morris, Eurohoops reported. The team is seeking a replacement for Keenan Evans, who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury, and sources indicate optimism that Morris will sign a contract through the end of the season.

Morris brings extensive NBA experience, having appeared in 420 regular-season games across stints with Denver, Washington, Detroit, Minnesota, Phoenix, and Indiana. He has career averages of 9.5 points, 3.6 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game while shooting 47.4% from the field and 38.9% from three-point range.

Olympiacos currently sits 7th in the 2025-26 EuroLeague standings with an 8-5 record, posting a +60 point differential over 13 games. The team relies heavily on key contributors such as Sasha Vezenkov, averaging 17.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest, and Tyler Dorsey, who is contributing 17.8 points per game with 38% shooting from beyond the arc.

The addition of Morris would provide much-needed depth at the guard position, complementing Frank Ntilikina and Thomas Walkup, who are averaging 5.8 and 5.9 points per game respectively.

Morris’ career also includes significant playoff experience, with 57 games and 10 starts, averaging 8.3 points and 3.1 assists per game. His steady shooting and ability to manage game tempo are expected to bolster Olympiacos’ EuroLeague playoff aspirations.

Sources suggest the Greek club is moving quickly to complete negotiations, signaling their intent to integrate Morris immediately. With EuroLeague competition intensifying, adding a veteran guard could provide Olympiacos with both leadership and scoring versatility.
