The Denver Nuggets dethroned the Charlotte Hornets to extend their franchise record to a road winning streak of 10 games, 115-106 on Sunday night.
Nuggets star Jamal Murray dropped 34 points, while Nikola Jokic added 28 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds, and Tim Hardaway Jr. had 14 points off the bench, leading their team to a 17-6 win-loss record.
On the other hand, Hornets’ Miles Bridges finished with 24 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, while Brandon Miller contributed 16.
The Hornets played without six players due to injuries, including their main guards, LaMelo Ball and Collin Sexton.
Charlotte rookie Liam McNeeley added a boost off the bench with a career-high 13 points, making 4 of 5 shots from three-point range.
The Nuggets built a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter, but the Hornets chased them down within seven after Miller knocked down a three from the wing, plus the and-1 free throw, to cut the lead to seven; however, they fell short of building on that momentum.
Murray finished the clash with 14 of 25 from the field and was not much of a factor in the second half with just 9 points.
Denver aims to maintain their road game momentum when they face Sacramento, while Charlotte looks forward to end their slump against Bulls on Friday.
