The Philadelphia 76ers release an extensive injury report ahead of Sunday’s meeting with the Atlanta Hawks at Xfinity Mobile Arena, creating uncertainty for a matchup between two teams looking to build on early-season momentum.
Atlanta lists seven injured contributors, including multiple rotation players. Trae Young remains sidelined with a right knee MCL sprain, marking another absence for a facilitator averaging 17.8 points and 7.8 assists across five appearances.
Kristaps Porzingis is ruled out due to illness, removing a scorer who contributes 18.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
The Hawks also lose frontcourt depth with N’Faly Dante out because of a left knee MCL sprain and Nikola Djurisic unavailable with a right elbow sprain.
Caleb Houstan, Jacob Toppin, and Asa Newell are listed as questionable while on two-way or G League assignment.
Philadelphia faces its own challenges, beginning with Joel Embiid, who remains out for right knee injury management.
The 76ers’ scoring structure continues to rely heavily on Tyrese Maxey, who averages 31.7 points and 7.5 assists in 40.0 minutes per game.
Andre Drummond is questionable with a right knee contusion, placing the team’s top rebounder (10.3 boards per game) in doubt. VJ Edgecombe is also questionable due to left calf injury management, and his availability affects spacing for a lineup already missing Kelly Oubre Jr., who remains out with a left knee sprain.
