The Los Angeles Clippers are evaluating potential midseason moves, and DeMar DeRozan is among the players drawing their attention, according to reporting from Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Amick noted that the 36-year-old guard has “some interest from the LA Clippers,” signaling that the organization is exploring veteran scoring options as part of its roster planning.

DeRozan is in the second year of a three-year, $73.9 million contract, and his deal includes a partial guarantee of roughly $10 million for next season. That structure gives front offices added flexibility when weighing trade value and long-term salary commitments.

The Kings have multiple players being discussed across the league, including Malik Monk, who carries $41.7 million guaranteed over the next two years. Keon Ellis, on a $2.3 million expiring deal, has also been identified by several teams as a favorable option due to his defensive consistency and contract value.

Domantas Sabonis is sidelined for at least three weeks with a partial meniscus tear in his left knee. He remains on a four-year, $186 million deal that continues through 2027-28.

Zach LaVine, who is averaging 21.4 points through 15 games, is in the fourth season of a five-year, $215 million contract. His player option for 2026-27 is worth $48.9 million, and Amick reported that he does not yet have clarity on whether he will exercise it.

Sacramento currently sits at 4-13, and the team’s early-season struggles have put added focus on its roster makeup. DeRozan is producing 17.9 points and 3.6 assists per game while shooting efficiently in mid-range situations.

Sabonis continues to lead the group on the interior, averaging 17.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists before the injury. Monk has provided 12.4 points in a bench role, while Ellis is contributing 6.6 points and 1.3 steals in 18.1 minutes per game.

Los Angeles, meanwhile, has been surveying the market for players who can stabilize half-court possessions, create off the dribble, and bring playoff experience. DeRozan fits that profile, and his contract structure makes him one of the more accessible high-salary players available.

No deal is imminent, and the Clippers are expected to continue monitoring Sacramento’s direction while assessing the broader market.

As trade discussions evolve, DeRozan’s name is likely to remain involved, particularly as front offices prepare for the December 15 and January 15 transaction windows.
