Sylvain Francisco has been named the EuroLeague’s MVP for October after a standout month leading Zalgiris Kaunas to a 6–2 record and a share of the top spot in the standings alongside Crvena Zvezda and Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The French guard has been instrumental in Zalgiris’ strong start, delivering several exceptional performances that established him as one of the premier players in the competition.
Francisco’s highlights include a 23-point, 10-assist double-double against Virtus Bologna in Round 7 and a 19-point, 7-assist showing versus Bayern Munich in Round 3.
His combination of scoring, playmaking, and efficiency has made him the driving force behind Zalgiris’ early success.
Through eight games, the 28-year-old is averaging 14.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per contest, while shooting 40.4% from three-point range and 54% on two-pointers.
His ability to create offense both for himself and his teammates has turned Zalgiris into one of the EuroLeague’s most balanced and dangerous teams.
