After releasing Chris Livingston and Tyler Smith before the 2025–26 season, the Milwaukee Bucks have now gone 11 straight draft classes without signing one of their own picks to a second contract, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reports.

The last Bucks draftee to re-sign with the team was Giannis Antetokounmpo, taken 15th overall in 2013.

Although Milwaukee hasn’t had much success developing drafted players, ESPN’s Tim Bontemps noted that the team has found value in undrafted talent.

Guards Ryan Rollins and A.J. Green, now starting in the backcourt, have played key roles in the team’s 4–1 start.

Rollins had a career night against Golden State with 32 points and eight assists, while Green has hit at least three threes in each of the first five games, shooting 55.2% from deep.

Rollins is on a three-year, $12 million deal with a player option, and Green signed a four-year, $45 million extension before the season.

ESPN’s Bobby Marks suggested those contracts could become major bargains if the two continue performing at this level.
