Kawhi Leonard recorded 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Clippers past the Portland Trail Blazers 114-107 on Sunday at the Intuit Dome.
James Harden added 20 points and 13 assists, while Ivica Zubac contributed 21 points and eight rebounds as the Clippers improved to 2-1 on the season.
Los Angeles trailed 60-55 at halftime but outscored Portland 32-22 in the third quarter, with Leonard, Harden, and Zubac each scoring nine points during the decisive stretch.
John Collins added 16 points off the bench, helping the Clippers maintain a lead despite Portland cutting the deficit in the fourth quarter.
Deni Avdija led the Trail Blazers with 23 points, followed by Jrue Holiday with 21 and Shaedon Sharpe with 19 in Portland’s first road game of the season. Jerami Grant finished with 17 points.
Portland has played without head coach Chauncey Billups, who was placed on leave by the NBA following an arrest related to alleged gambling activities, with assistant Tiago Splitter serving as interim coach.
The Clippers will visit Golden State on Tuesday, while the Trail Blazers face the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night.
