Alex Caruso believes the Oklahoma City Thunder have room to get even better despite entering the season as defending NBA champions.
“I think we can get better. I think that’s scary for the rest of the league,” Caruso said on The Young Man & The Three, via HoopsHype, highlighting the team’s potential beyond last year’s success.
The Thunder, now 3–0 to start the 2025–26 season, have shown balance and depth, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren leading high-scoring performances. Caruso emphasizes that the development of young players adds another layer to their competitiveness.
Caruso noted that improvement is both a goal and a mindset for the team. “It’s like that’s kind of what we chase,” he said, underscoring the Thunder’s commitment to continual growth.
Caruso’s eight points, three assists, and two steals in the overtime win against Houston reflect his impact on both ends of the court.
