Martynas PociusLrytas.lt reports that Martynas Pocius could become the first offseason signing for Zalgiris. 23-year-old shooting guard spent last three seasons at Duke University under USA national team head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Pocius didn't play a key role in his university team after he underwent surgery of both of his ankles. Last season he spent just 6 minutes per game on the court averaging 1.5 points.

194cm tall Martynas Pocius was a member of Lithuania national team in Belgrade Universiade and helped his team finish 5th. He also represented in Lithuania at both U-18 and U-20 levels.

The player himself admitted that there are talks with Zalgiris and several other teams. Zalgiris seems like the best option as Pocius would like to play close to home.

He could still play for Duke for one more year but instead he chose to start pro career after spending most of the time on the bench in his university.
