Chicago Bulls two-way guard Yuki Kawamura made the most of his opportunity against the Cleveland Cavaliers, turning heads with his playmaking ability.
As Julia Poe of The Chicago Tribune notes, Kawamura dished out five assists in just over 14 minutes on the floor, showing poise and quick decision-making in limited action.
At 5’8”, Kawamura holds the distinction of being the shortest player in the NBA. With several guards ahead of him in Chicago’s rotation, cracking consistent playing time will be a challenge.
Still, the 24-year-old is confident that his skill set meshes perfectly with the Bulls’ up-tempo style.
“I feel like it fits me,” the Japanese point guard said. “I love the system. That’s why it didn’t take me a long time to adjust to the Bulls’ offense.”
Kawamura averaged 1.6 points, 0.9 assists and 0.5 rebounds in 22 games in his rookie season in 2024-25.
