The New York Knicks have begun gauging interest in forward Pacôme Dadiet. NBA insider Jake Fischer reported on The Stein Line that the team is prioritizing roster flexibility to accommodate Malcolm Brogdon and Landry Shamet.

Dadiet, the 25th overall pick in 2024, has emerged as the Knicks’ most tradable young prospect. Fischer noted that the team has already reached out to multiple organizations to assess potential deals.

While Dadiet showed development during the offseason, New York’s focus remains on veteran acquisitions. The Knicks signed Brogdon and Shamet to Exhibit 9 contracts, which created the need to open a roster spot.

The 20-year-old French forward posted limited NBA stats in his rookie season, averaging 1.7 points and 1.0 rebounds across 18 games. Most of his playing time came in the G League, where he averaged 14.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 14 appearances for Westchester.

Sources suggest Dadiet could generate moderate trade returns, likely involving a second-round pick or two. Executives across the league view his size, athleticism, and scoring ability as valuable despite his limited top-level experience.

Some within the organization remain hesitant to trade Dadiet unless the return is significant. His developmental progress and two-way potential keep him in consideration for a rotation role behind established veterans.

As of now, Dadiet’s future in New York remains uncertain, but the Knicks’ active discussions signal he is the centerpiece of their trade considerations.
