The Atlanta Hawks have added frontcourt depth with the signing of center Malik Williams, his agent Brian Jungreis of Seros Partners told HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
Williams appeared in seven games for the Toronto Raptors during the 2023-24 season, where he averaged 2.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in limited minutes. His best stretch came in the G League, where he showed more consistency on both ends of the floor.
Last season with Sioux Falls, Williams put up 14.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 40 percent from three-point range. In the current campaign, he has elevated those numbers to 16.1 points and 10.2 rebounds across 31 contests.
The 6-foot-11 big man has established himself as a reliable rebounder and rim protector in the G League. His ability to stretch the floor has also made him an intriguing developmental option for NBA front offices.
Atlanta enters the 2025–26 season with a reshaped roster that features first-round pick Asa Newell. The organization also traded for Kristaps Porzingis earlier in the offseason, bolstering a frontcourt that includes Onyeka Okongwu and Jalen Johnson.
