The San Antonio Spurs have signed guard Jon Elmore and center Malik Williams to training camp deals, according to HoopsHype.
Both players bring extensive professional and G League experience to a Spurs roster that has been reshaped around Victor Wembanyama, De’Aaron Fox and San Antonio’s young core following last season’s run to the NBA Finals.
Williams has spent much of his professional career developing as a productive rebounding big. After playing five seasons at Louisville, he moved overseas before establishing himself in the G League with the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
The 6-foot-11 Williams averaged 14.8 points and 9.1 rebounds in 44 games for Sioux Falls during the 2024-25 season, shooting 45.4% from the field and 39.5% from three-point range. He continued to produce across multiple stops in 2025-26, averaging 16.0 points and 10.1 rebounds in 29 games with the College Park Skyhawks.
Williams also appeared for the South Bay Lakers, averaging 14.4 points and 8.8 rebounds in 17 games. He later played briefly in China with the Zhejiang Lions and in Puerto Rico with Mets Guaynabo, where he averaged 16.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in five games.
His rebounding production could be particularly useful during training camp as San Antonio evaluates its frontcourt depth behind Wembanyama and Tobias Harris. The Spurs drafted centers Jayden Quaintance and Tarris Reed Jr. in the first round this summer, while Maliq Brown provides another young frontcourt option.
Elmore brings a different skill set to the competition. The veteran guard enjoyed a prolific college career at Marshall, where he averaged 22.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.7 assists during the 2017-18 season before finishing his senior year with 20.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
The 6-foot-3 guard has spent the majority of his professional career in Europe and the G League. He averaged 16.2 points and 5.9 assists in 22 games for Siauliai in Lithuania during the 2021-22 season, then recorded 9.7 points and 5.1 assists in 47 G League games with Sioux Falls in 2022-23.
Elmore returned to the G League with Stockton in 2024-25, averaging 9.7 points and 5.1 assists in 49 games. Last season, he increased his production to 12.4 points and 5.6 assists in 49 games with Stockton before averaging 9.8 points and 5.0 assists in five games with the Calgary Surge.
