The Boston Celtics are adding forward Jalen Bridges to their training camp roster, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The 24-year-old will compete for one of the team’s two-way slots ahead of the 2025–26 season.
Bridges spent last season on a two-way deal with the Phoenix Suns, where he appeared in eight NBA games. He also played for the Valley Suns in the G League, averaging 14.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.7 made threes per game across 31 appearances.
The 6-foot-7 forward suited up for the Celtics during the 2025 Summer League, where he posted 8.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in limited minutes.
Before turning pro, Bridges played two seasons at West Virginia before transferring to Baylor. As a senior in 2023-24, he averaged 12.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks, earning All-Big 12 Third Team honors.
Undrafted in 2024, Bridges signed with Phoenix shortly after the draft. While his NBA playing time was limited, he gained valuable development opportunities in the G League, showing efficiency from beyond the arc at 38.4 percent.
Boston enters the 2025–26 season looking to strengthen its depth following an offseason marked by roster adjustments. The team drafted Hugo González with the 28th pick and Noah Penda at No. 32, adding more youth to a roster led by Jaylen Brown and Derrick White.
The Celtics already have RJ Luis Jr., Max Shulga, and Amari Williams on two-way contracts, meaning Bridges will have to earn his spot in camp.
Two-way contracts allow players to spend most of the year in the G League while appearing in up to 50 NBA games.
