Panathinaikos Aktor is contending with multiple preseason injury setbacks, the latest concerning Cedi Osman.
The Turkish forward is nursing an ankle issue suffered during EuroBasket 2025, where he played heavy minutes en route to a silver medal finish with his national team.
The 30-year-old has been ruled out indefinitely, beginning with the Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament in Australia.
Already missing T.J. Shorts II, Mathias Lessort, and Marius Grigonis, Panathinaikos will also be without Osman for their upcoming games against Partizan Mozzart Bet and the Adelaide 36ers.
Osman first picked up the injury in the quarterfinals against Poland but returned to play in both the semifinal against Greece and the gold medal match versus Germany, where he went the full 40 minutes.
Across nine appearances, he averaged 16.0 points per game.
However, playing through the issue aggravated it into a bone bruise, leading Panathinaikos’ medical team to prescribe treatment in Athens rather than travel.
With the EuroLeague season opener against Bayern Munich set for September 30, his availability remains in question.
Osman, who logged 495 NBA games with Cleveland and San Antonio before joining Panathinaikos in 2024, extended his deal last spring through 2027.
