Jalen Brunson, reflecting on nearly a year since the blockbuster deal that brought Karl-Anthony Towns from Minnesota to New York, was full of praise for his teammate in a conversation with D.J. Siddiqi of Games Hub.

Calling Towns a “phenomenal” addition, Brunson emphasized that the big man’s impact extends far beyond the stat sheet.

“The things that he’s been able to do in a short period of time being a Knick has been amazing,” the point guard explained.

For the Knicks’ guard, what stands out isn’t only Towns’ ability to score, stretch the floor, and anchor the offense, but also the way he has embraced his teammates.

“Having him as a teammate has been really fun. I think that gets overlooked how good of a teammate he is,” Brunson added.

He went on to highlight Towns’ personality and presence in the locker room as just as valuable as his performance on the hardwood.

“Obviously, he’s a great player and what he does on the court. But the teammate he is and what he brings to the locker room for us is special,” Brunson said.

Brunson closed by noting how fortunate he feels to share the court with Towns, stressing that the move has elevated the group’s dynamic and chemistry.

“So I’m really happy to have him,” he concluded.
