The Memphis Grizzlies have signed center Lawson Lovering and forward Tyler Burton, the team announced on Saturday, WREG reported..
Lovering, 22, joins Memphis after going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft. The 7-foot-1 center played his senior season at Utah, averaging 8.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 28 games.
Before transferring to Utah, Lovering spent two seasons at Colorado, where he developed into a versatile interior player. His collegiate highlights include a 25-point performance against Iowa in December 2024 and a 14-rebound game as a sophomore in 2023.
Lovering suited up for the Grizzlies during the 2025 NBA Summer League, appearing in seven contests. His signing marks his first NBA contract.
Burton, 25, arrives on a training camp deal after spending last season with the Memphis Hustle in the NBA G League. In eight appearances, he averaged 2.5 points and 2.9 rebounds across 12 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-7 forward played four years at Richmond, finishing with 1,634 career points and 819 rebounds. He later transferred to Villanova as a graduate student for the 2023–24 campaign.
Burton’s college career included Atlantic 10 Most Improved Player honors and multiple All-Conference selections. He was undrafted in 2024 but quickly found an opportunity with Memphis’ G League affiliate.
His signing is expected to be an Exhibit 10 contract, giving him a chance to compete for a roster spot while maintaining ties to the Hustle.
