Cedi Osman etched his name deeper into Turkish basketball history at EuroBasket 2025. With 17 points in Türkiye’s 85-79 win over Sweden in the Round of 16, the 30-year-old forward climbed to fourth place on the country’s all-time scoring list in the competition.

That performance lifted his career tally to 358 points across 24 EuroBasket appearances, moving him past Ersan Ilyasova, who had finished his career with 355 points in 32 games.

The only names still ahead of Osman are some of the legends of Turkish basketball: Hidayet Turkoglu, who tops the list with 607 points in 49 games; Ibrahim Kutluay with 526 in 40 outings; and Yalcin Granit with 386 in just 25 appearances.

Türkiye’s all-time scoring chart at EuroBasket now stands as follows:

  1. Hidayet Turkoglu – 607 points in 49 games
  2. Ibrahim Kutluay – 526 points in 40 games
  3. Yalcin Granit – 386 points in 25 games
  4. Cedi Osman – 358 points in 24 games
  5. Ersan Ilyasova – 355 points in 32 games
  6. Mirsad Turkcan – 338 points in 35 games
  7. Altan Dincer – 336 points in 27 games
  8. Zeki Tosun – 260 points in 21 games
  9. Ender Arslan – 246 points in 35 games
  10. Mehmet Okur – 245 points in 27 games

Osman’s scoring consistency and longevity have now secured him a place among the greats.

And with Türkiye advancing to the Quarter-Finals in Riga, he will have at least one more opportunity to add to his total and continue climbing closer to Yalcin Granit’s third spot at 386 points.
