Before the NBA season began, it was always about the yearly video game from 2K Sports.

The NBA 2K26 is set to release on September 5, but early access starts on August 29 for those who purchase the Superstar or Leave No Doubt Editions.

The game’s main feature is the current NBA champion and most valuable player, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, together with Carmelo Anthony and Angel Reese, on the cover of this year’s 2K.

According to reports, NBA 2K26 takes it to the next level as it was composed of both the NBA and the WNBA setups, having such differences compared to the previous year. The rising rookies and stars are exciting to play like Cooper Flag, letting them compete in their first tip-off, even though the season has not yet started.

New features of the Rec Center

In MyCareer, there is a place called the “Rec Center,” a game mode where players can match in five-on-five pickup games with other online players, including solo, duo, random, and squad groups.

The Rec’s environment was a yearly change to make it more engaging to the fans and players. The comparison of the new venue from last year’s NBA 2K25 was shown, via Jumpman Germ on X.

Aside from its setting, there are also new The Rec uniforms, which made some fans hype and disappointed, but the majority said that 2K Sports has nailed this year’s latest updates.

During the seven days before its official release or the early access period, it is at a higher price than the regular price. Still, according to the game’s official content roadmap, these are special editions, such as the Superstar or Leave No Doubt, including extra bonuses.
