Fans across Europe are eagerly counting down the days to FIBA EuroBasket 2025, where supporters from each of the 24 participating nations will be glued to their screens, hoping their national teams shine on the continent’s biggest basketball stage.
But the excitement won’t stop at Europe’s borders. This year’s EuroBasket is also set to captivate NBA followers worldwide, as a remarkable 18 NBA franchises will see their players suit up in Riga (Latvia), Katowice (Poland), Limassol (Cyprus), and Tampere (Finland).
The question many fans are asking: which country boasts the highest number of NBA stars in the competition?
Several teams from the NBA have multiple representatives in the tournament. The Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards each have three players featured.
Notably, Germany will rely on the Orlando Magic duo of Franz Wagner and Tristan Da Silva, while France can count on the Washington Wizards’ young talents Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr.
The Denver Nuggets also bring plenty of star power, led by Nikola Jokic of Serbia and Jonas Valanciunas of Lithuania. Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz are represented by two big men: Lauri Markkanen (Finland) and Jusuf Nurkic (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
