Veteran shooting guard Damion Lee is taking his career overseas, as he has agreed to join Israeli club Ironi Ness Ziona.

The move was first reported by Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic on X, with the team later confirming the signing in an official announcement on Instagram.

Lee, who entered the NBA in 2017, has spent the past seven years in the league. Most recently, he was part of the Phoenix Suns, appearing in 25 games during the 2023/24 season.

That came after a much larger role the year prior, when he logged 74 appearances for Phoenix.

Before his time in Arizona, Lee carved out a steady four-year stint with the Golden State Warriors from 2018 to 2022, contributing as a reliable role player and floor-spacer during their championship run.

Unfortunately, injuries disrupted his career momentum. A knee issue sidelined Lee for the entirety of the 2023/24 campaign.

Though he re-signed with the Suns last July on a one-year, veteran’s minimum contract, his return was limited – he managed to reach double-digit minutes in only three contests across the season.

In total, Lee’s NBA résumé spans 315 regular-season games.

Over that stretch, he has averaged 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 19.6 minutes per night, while establishing himself as a dependable three-point shooter and veteran presence in the locker room.

His new chapter with Ironi Ness Ziona marks his first professional basketball experience outside the NBA, as he looks to reignite his career on the international stage.
