Ready for their third appearance at FIBA EuroBasket, the Icelandic national team has officially announced its 12-man roster for the competition.
Head coach Craig Pedersen will once again lead the squad, with Martin Hermannsson (Alba Berlin) and Elvar Már Friðriksson (Manresa) as the most notable names spearheading the effort.
Iceland previously competed in EuroBasket 2015 and EuroBasket 2017, but despite spirited performances, they were unable to secure a win in either tournament. This time, the team is determined to make history by recording their first-ever EuroBasket victory.
Drawn into Group D, Iceland will face a challenging path against Israel, Poland, France, Belgium, and Slovenia. Their tournament debut will take place on August 28, 2025, in Katowice, where they go up against Deni Avdija and Israel at 14:00 CET.
