Isaiah Mobley signs with Turkey’s Manisa Basket

Isaiah Mobley, a free-agent forward and the older brother of reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year Evan Mobley, is heading overseas to continue his professional basketball career.

The Turkish club Manisa Basket officially announced the signing today, with the news first circulating via the team’s social media channels and later confirmed by Sportando.

Mobley entered the league as the 49th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and spent parts of his first three professional seasons in the NBA. Standing 6-foot-8, he showed promise as a versatile forward, but never quite managed to secure a consistent rotation role in the league.

Over his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers, he appeared in just 23 total regular season games, averaging 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in limited action – about 7.5 minutes per contest.

His most recent NBA stint came at the very end of the 2024/25 season, when the injury-depleted Sixers signed him to a rest-of-season contract via the hardship exception.

Mobley made the most of his opportunity in Philadelphia’s final regular-season game, playing 17 minutes against the Chicago Bulls and filling the stat sheet with six points, five assists, and four rebounds, though the Sixers ultimately lost the game.

While his NBA résumé is relatively modest, Mobley has consistently excelled at the developmental level. In the 2022/23 G League season, he was a standout performer for the Cleveland Charge, putting up impressive averages of 21.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

He also made a splash in the 2023 NBA Summer League, delivering a 28-point, 11-rebound performance in the championship game to earn MVP honors and help the Cavaliers secure the Las Vegas Summer League title.

Manisa Basket, his new team, will be hoping Mobley’s skill set and scoring ability can spark a turnaround. The club is coming off a disappointing campaign in the Turkish Basketball Super League, finishing tied for 12th place out of 16 teams with an 11–19 record.
