The Golden State Warriors are not willing to include Buddy Hield or Moses Moody in any trade package involving Jonathan Kuminga, NBA insider Jake Fischer reported on Marc Stein’s The Stein Line.

According to sources, the Warriors value both players highly and want to keep them as key contributors to their playoff offense.

Golden State is cautious due to the NBA’s Base Year Compensation rules, which complicate matching incoming salaries in sign-and-trade deals.

The team expects both Hield and Moody to provide crucial floor spacing, making them untouchable assets for now.

This stance has become a major hurdle in ongoing negotiations with the Sacramento Kings regarding a potential sign-and-trade for Kuminga, The Athletic’s Sam Amick reported.

Amick clarified that pick protections are not the only issue; the Warriors’ refusal to part with either guard also limits trade options.

Sources confirm the Warriors anticipate Kuminga will remain with the team for the 2025-26 season.

Kuminga, 22, has shown consistent development, averaging 12.5 points and 4 rebounds over four NBA seasons.

This year, he is posting 15.3 points per game while averaging 24.3 minutes.

Hield contributed 11.1 points per game last season, bringing experience and three-point shooting to Golden State.

Moody has played 83 games in three seasons, offering promising upside despite limited minutes.

The Warriors’ front office remains patient as the October 1 qualifying offer deadline for Kuminga approaches.
