Golden State has emerged as a team showing interest in Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey, according to a new report by Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

Fischer noted that multiple teams have contacted Giddey’s representation, and the Warriors are monitoring the situation closely.

The 22-year-old remains unsigned in restricted free agency, with negotiations complicated by the possibility of a sign-and-trade.

Sources told Bleacher Report that a framework involving Giddey and Golden State’s Jonathan Kuminga has been discussed.

However, progress has been slow due to salary cap challenges tied to base year compensation rules and the current CBA.

Kuminga’s camp has reportedly sought a deal worth around $25 million annually, while Giddey’s side is holding out for a contract closer to $30 million per year.

The Bulls have shown consistent interest in Kuminga dating back to previous trade deadlines.

Golden State’s potential pursuit of Giddey may hinge on what they decide to do with Kuminga and other rotation pieces.

The 6-foot-8 guard averaged 12.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists last season.
