The San Antonio Spurs have signed center Micah Potter, bringing their training camp roster to 18 players with three spots remaining.
The move was reported by Paul Garcia, who noted that the deal is likely a training camp contract as the franchise evaluates final additions ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Potter, 27, spent the last three seasons with the Utah Jazz organization, splitting time between the NBA club and its G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars.
The 6-foot-10 big man appeared in 38 games for Utah during the 2024-25 NBA season, starting 10 contests and averaging 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game.
Potter posted a .422 field goal percentage and shot 31.6% from beyond the arc last season, while also converting at the free-throw line at an efficient 85.0%.
In the G League, he was a consistent contributor. With the Stars in 2024-25, Potter averaged 14.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.9 three-pointers per game across 13 appearances.
His G League résumé includes strong rebounding totals and above-average shooting splits for a stretch big, including 37.3% from three-point range during the 2023-24 campaign.
Originally undrafted out of Wisconsin in 2021, Potter began his professional career with the Sioux Falls Skyforce before earning a short stint with the Detroit Pistons later that season.
He joined the Jazz in 2022 and developed into a reliable frontcourt depth piece, logging 64 total NBA games over four years.
