Maccabi Tel Aviv has finalized the signing of American guard Jeff Dowtin Jr., the club announced Tuesday, confirming a three-year contract with the NBA veteran.

Dowtin, 28, arrives from the Philadelphia 76ers after spending the past two seasons toggling between the NBA roster and its G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats.

The 1.91-meter combo guard averaged 7.0 points, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 rebounds over 41 games for the Sixers during the 2024–25 campaign, logging 15.1 minutes per contest.

He also posted impressive numbers in the G League, delivering 24.6 points and 4.1 assists across 17 appearances for Delaware last season.

Dowtin joins a revamped Maccabi backcourt that includes fellow new addition Lonnie Walker IV, his former teammate in Philadelphia.

After playing four seasons at Rhode Island, Dowtin began his pro career in the G League, helping the Lakeland Magic secure the 2021 championship.

Over the course of four NBA seasons, he played for six organizations—Golden State, Milwaukee, Orlando, Toronto, and Philadelphia—often appearing with their G League affiliates.

Dowtin’s most productive NBA stint came during the 2024–25 season in Philadelphia, where he shot 48.7% from the field and 40% from three-point range.
