The WNBA announced Saturday that the fan who threw a lime green sex toy onto the court during the Atlanta Dream’s game earlier this week has been arrested.

The league stated that any fan who throws objects during a game will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban, along with potential arrest and prosecution.

The incident occurred in the fourth quarter of the Dream’s 77–75 loss to the Valkyries on Tuesday, causing a stoppage in play. A referee kicked the object aside before a police officer removed it.

“The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority,” the league said. “Objects thrown onto the court can pose serious risks to players, officials, and fans.”

A nearly identical incident happened again Friday night during a Valkyries-Sky game, when a similar object was tossed in the third quarter. It’s not yet known whether an arrest was made in that case.

Several players have voiced frustration. Sky center Elizabeth Williams called the behavior “super disrespectful” and “immature,” urging the person responsible to “grow up.”

Liberty forward Isabelle Harrison criticized the venue’s lack of response, writing on X: “ARENA SECURITY?! Hello??! Please do better. It’s not funny. Never was. Throwing ANYTHING on the court is so dangerous.”
