Panathinaikos Athens has officially signed Greek forward Nikos Rogkavopoulos to a four-year contract, the club announced Sunday evening.

The 24-year-old returns to Greece after two seasons with Baskonia, where he averaged 9.7 points and 3.9 rebounds in the 2024–25 EuroLeague campaign.

Known for his efficient perimeter shooting, Rogkavopoulos hit 43.5% of his three-point attempts last season while playing nearly 19 minutes per game.

He also contributed 8.9 points and 3.3 boards per contest in Liga Endesa, helping Baskonia reach the playoffs in Spain’s top division.

Born in Maroussi, Rogkavopoulos began his basketball journey with Doukas BC before debuting professionally with AEK Athens in 2017 at age 16.

He won both the Greek Cup and FIBA Intercontinental Cup during his stint with AEK, then spent time with Promitheas Patras before heading abroad in 2022.

In Turkiye with Merkezefendi, he posted 15.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game in the 2022–23 season, earning a move to the EuroLeague with Baskonia.

The 2.01-meter forward has also been a key figure in Greece’s national team system, progressing through all youth levels and debuting with the senior squad in 2021.

He featured at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, averaging 8.2 points and 2.8 rebounds for the national team.
