Utah Jazz big man Kyle Filipowski was recently asked by Malika Andrews about what a successful sophomore year would look like following his MVP performance at NBA 2K26 Summer League (averaged 29.3 PPG/7.7 RPG/2.3 APG/0.7 BPG/56.1% FG/39.1% 3-PT/62.5% FT/+5.3 +/- in three games played).

(via Malika Andrews – ESPN):

“Obviously, I think as a team just improving our record, molding the young guys together. I think that we’re really trying to do that and create something special with the young core here. But individually, I think it doesn’t really matter with those accolades. They are cool and everything and great when you do get them, but I think it’s obviously just improving all of my efficiency, my plus-minus — all of those things going into year two: how can I be the best productive, efficient player on the court to help us win?”
