The Charlotte Hornets have waived guard Damion Baugh to open a two-way roster slot for newly signed Antonio Reeves.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype was first to report the move Wednesday, citing league sources familiar with the team’s plans.

Baugh, 24, joined Charlotte on a two-way contract in February and made his NBA debut the same day. He finished the season with 15 appearances, including two starts, averaging 7.3 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in 24.7 minutes per game.

Despite shooting just 32.3% from the field and 21.4% from three, the former TCU standout showed promise as a secondary ball handler and defender.

Baugh also spent time with the Greensboro Swarm, Charlotte’s G League affiliate, where he averaged 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in four games.

Before arriving in Charlotte, Baugh had short stints with the South Bay Lakers and Westchester Knicks in the G League.

He went undrafted in 2023 after finishing his college career at TCU and began his professional journey by signing with the Lakers, who waived him during preseason.
