The Charlotte Hornets have signed guard Antonio Reeves to a two-way contract, adding a proven scorer with efficient shooting to their developmental pipeline.

NBA insider Shams Charania first reported the move on Wednesday, noting Reeves’ shooting efficiency and upside after a promising rookie season with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Reeves, 24, appeared in 44 games during the 2024–25 campaign, averaging 6.9 points in 15 minutes per game while shooting 45.6% from the field and just under 40% from beyond the arc.

Originally drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 47th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Reeves was traded to the Pelicans on draft night in exchange for future second-round pick swaps in 2030 and 2031.

The former Kentucky standout signed with New Orleans on July 23, 2024, and spent portions of his rookie year with the Pelicans’ G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron.

Despite showing flashes of scoring potential, Reeves was waived by New Orleans on July 3, 2025. He still competed with the Pelicans during the 2025 NBA Summer League before Charlotte picked him up.
