Malcolm Brogdon’s next team appears increasingly unlikely to be the Milwaukee Bucks after their recent roster move, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

On a live segment this week, Fischer reported that Milwaukee’s acquisition of Cole Anthony on a buyout from Memphis effectively removed them from the Brogdon sweepstakes. “For Malcolm Brogdon—I don’t think Milwaukee is still a landing spot for him, especially after they brought in Cole Anthony,” Fischer said, via HoopsHype.

Instead, several other teams remain engaged in discussions for the veteran guard. Fischer identified Sacramento, New Orleans, Minnesota, and Golden State as franchises “still having plenty of interest” in the 32-year-old playmaker.

Brogdon, who became an unrestricted free agent after his contract with the Washington Wizards expired, is one of the more sought-after guards on the market. According to Marc Stein on his Substack, the Wizards are open to facilitating his exit via a sign-and-trade, a move that could help both sides.

During the 2024–25 season, Brogdon averaged 12.7 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game for Washington. He shot 43.3 percent from the field but struggled from beyond the arc at 28.6 percent.

Over his nine NBA seasons, the former Rookie of the Year has maintained career averages of 15.3 points and 4.7 assists while shooting nearly 39 percent from three-point range.
