Two teams have emerged as active suitors for Ben Simmons as his time with the Los Angeles Clippers appears to be winding down.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the New York Knicks and Sacramento Kings remain “in the mix” for the former All-Star. Fischer shared on his latest report, via HoopsHype: “For Ben Simmons, the two teams we’re hearing that are still in the mix are: Sacramento, New York. Personally, I think Ben Simmons would be interesting in Minnesota, but I haven’t heard that they have interest in him.”

Simmons, 28, signed a one-year deal with the Clippers on February 10, worth $1.08 million.

Since then, however, Simmons has struggled to find consistent minutes in the Clippers’ rotation. In 17 regular season games with the team, he averaged 2.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 16.4 minutes per game, shooting 43.4 percent from the field.

Throughout his career, Simmons has been known for his defensive versatility and playmaking, though injuries and inconsistent offensive production have limited his impact in recent seasons. His career averages stand at 13.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game across 383 contests.

The Knicks and Kings, both seeking to bolster their depth and versatility, reportedly see Simmons as a low-risk option who could contribute in specific roles. While Fischer also mentioned Minnesota as an intriguing fit, he clarified that no interest from the Timberwolves has been reported.
