Amid the broader investigation into Malik Beasley and Jontay Porter’s involvement in an illegal betting scandal, Tom Haberstroh revealed on an episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out that Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier has not yet been officially cleared by federal authorities.

This news highlights that Rozier is still under scrutiny as part of the ongoing probe into illicit sports gambling activities.

Last month, ESPN’s Shams Charania appeared to imply during a live segment on The Pat McAfee Show that Rozier had been cleared of any suspicion.

However, that comment was a somewhat ambiguous aside rather than a definitive report, so it is not entirely surprising that it did not fully reflect the current status of the investigation.

NBA insider Chris Haynes later confirmed Haberstroh’s update on Twitter, stating that Rozier remains a subject of the federal inquiry and has not been exonerated.

Despite the ongoing investigation, Rozier continued to suit up for the Heat throughout last season and is still under contract for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign, during which he is set to earn approximately $26.64 million on his expiring deal.
