Veteran NBA forward Nassir Little will play overseas for the first time in 2025/26, signing a one-year deal with Japan’s Chiba Jets, the team announced.

“I’m excited to help the Chiba Jets win a championship,” Little said. “I’ve visited Japan before and know some players, so I’m looking forward to this new experience with great fans and a new arena.”

The 2019 NBA draft’s 25th pick spent four years with Portland before being traded to Phoenix in 2023. After one season with the Suns and a stint in the G League, Little is ready for this new chapter.

In 237 NBA games, he averaged 5.5 points and 2.9 rebounds in under 16 minutes per game, though injuries and inconsistent shooting affected his recent performance.

Chiba’s roster includes former NBA player Yuta Watanabe, Little’s former teammate in Phoenix. The Jets compete in Japan’s top B.League.
